The Chief Minister of Delhi, Smt. Sheila Dixit inaugurates India Imagined: In the Present.
This is an exhibition about the Heroes of modern India, inaugurated on August 7, 2010 at the Taj Man Singh Hotel, New Delhi by the CM of Delhi. The group show was presented by The Nirula Family Company, in association with the Nirula Family Art Trust.

Smt. Dixit unveils a portrait of Rahul Gandhi, painted by noted artist Sanjay Bhattacharya, seen standing between Arjun Raj Nirula and Smt. Dixit, while Renoo Nirula, Divvya and Nalin Nirula admire the painting.

The Rahul Gandhi painting was sold within minutes of its unveiling. Here is a clipping of an article from Mail Today.

  • All the other work displayed was completely sold out on the first day of the exhibition. For all the disappointed art lovers there is good news-- The NFC will be organizing at least 3 more exhibitions this year and will include works by the Nirula family members.

10 Artists give their take on the Heroes of India
Among the other participating artists were Raghu Rai, Arpana Caur, Harinder Singh, Baba Anand, Nalin K Nirula, Renoo Nirula, Abhishek Singh, Arjun Raj Nirula, and a sculpture by an Anonymous artist.

Tour of the exhibition coming soon at 'India Imagined'--
