Pitra Dosh Candles

Sets of these pitra kasht and pitra dosh candles are available from the Center for pitra kasht and pitra dosh nivarana (remedy)-- to be activated from September 14th through September 27, 2011. (Shradh is from September 13-27). - The pitra kasht nivarana candles are to be lit during the shradh period only, whereas the pitra dosh nivarana candles can be lit any time during the year for the benefit of the ancestors and for receiving blessings for progress from ancestors.
- If one is late in lighting the pitra kasht nivarana candles this year, the appropriate candles for the current days may be lit during the fortnight, while the candles for the earlier (missed) days can be lit on the last day of shradh.
METHOD
 One candle per day is to be lit any time during day or night, dedicating this act to your ancestors for their welfare and karmic evolution. (Additional instructions are included in the candle sets as shown on the right.) Lighting of the candles during helps illuminate their path on their onward journey, and enables your receiving blessings from them. This will also remedy any negative 'blessings' they may be sending you for your not fulfilling your relief-work or your duties meant for relieving them from their suffering (tarpan).
